The Story: The Bauer Family has a deep rooted history of making wine in Weinviertel wine region of Austria. After two centuries of family running the family winery in Austria the Bauer's Family 4th generation geared their focus towards exporting the wines internationally. in 1990 the Bauer Haus family winery patterned with a variety of small family farmers located in the Rheinhessen, Germany to create "Bauer Haus Germany"

The wine label is based off of Burg Kreuzenstein in Austria, located approximately 5 kilometers from the Bauer Family winery in Austria, which can be seen from their vineyard site.
