From the hills of southern Indiana, Judy Schad produces goat milk cheese in her husband's family farm. 


Mont St. Francis was named for a nearby Franciscan retreat and was first made in 1994 when there were few American washed-rind cheeses. Cheeses like the rustic, stinky Mont originated in monasteries across Europe and were traditionally washed in brine or beer. We finish ours in Russian Imperial Stout to enrich its funky, pungent flavor with a sweet, smoky finish.

Minimum Order of $25 required to ship cheese (excluding shipping and taxes), thank you for your understanding

We ship cheese using UPS Monday through Wednesday in insulated packages. UPS Next Day or 2 Day Air is recommended for shipments to states not boarding Illinois.

Cut, Wrap & Receiving

All our orders are sliced by hand and wrapped in breathable cheese wrap. Slicing cheese is an inexact art. Weights are approximate and will vary. To ensure optimal condition upon delivery, we employ Koldtogo Extreme Cube Insulated Shipping Liners and no sweat gel ice packs. Cheese should be refrigerated immediately upon arrival

Fulfilment

To maintain quality, our cheese inventory is constantly refreshing. We cannot guarantee that a cheese is in stock at a quantity sufficient to fill an order. Orders for out of stock or limited quantities will be notified, substitutions recommended and purchases partially or wholly refunded if necessary.
